Benefits
The health care items or services covered under a health insurance plan.
Having a well informed client is our goal so our preference is to work with you personally; to make sure your needs are being met and that you are completely aware of what you may be purchasing. However, we do understand that informed consumers and those of us “who are just curious”, like to have the opportunity to look around for ourselves. For those that fall into the latter category and who are seeking Individual coverage, the below links will provide you with an opportunity to look around on your own.
Unfortunately, for those of you looking for Employer coverage we do not have any Do-It-Yourself links available, therefore, we are available to meet with you and assist in achieving your group inquiry goals.
Medical:
Medical Insurance from this link will provide you with coverage for individuals age 65 and below. The coverage is 100% ACA (Affordable Healthcare Act) compliant and covers all of the government required essential benefits. Individuals may find they are eligible for premium assistance, please note the estimation of household income should be for the calendar year in which the coverage is effective. The estimate should be based upon your modified adjusted gross income. Pricing provided through this link is not guaranteed and will only be final upon completion of the application with the Federally Facilitated Marketplace or with the insurance carrier directly.
Short-Term Medical:
Short-Term Medical is a good product to be used when you are between jobs, or while you are waiting for benefits at your new job. Short-Term Plans are not considered Health Care Reform compliant.
Please note that there are risks and limitations associated with enrolling in a Short Term medical plan. Risk and limitations include but are not limited to the exclusion of all pre-existing conditions and other essential benefits, the requirement of medical underwriting, and a limitation on the length of the policy. The expiration of a policy is not considered a qualifying event to obtain a policy through the Marketplace outside of open enrollment.
Dental, Vision & Hearing:
When selecting a dental plan you should pay close attention to the details of each benefit plan. Know what you are buying before you purchase a dental plan.
- Many plans are not the traditional insurance plan but are considered Discount Plans.
- Waiting periods may apply to certain benefits. You should understand if there are waiting periods and for how long.
- Annual maximums, deductibles and benefits will vary between benefit plans.
- Some plans may only cover cleanings or just cleanings and fillings. This means not all services are covered.
- Some plans may have a one-time application fee and others may require you to enroll in an association.
- Some plans are bundled together with vision and hearing. If purchasing one of these plans make sure you understand the maximums and limitations for each benefit plan being offered.
Supplemental:
Supplemental Benefits are available to enhance your current major medical insurance benefit plan. They allow you to address specific concerns that you may have regarding a Critical Illness, Accidents, or Cancer. These benefit plans make payments to you not the insurance company so you can use this money to pay the mortgage, car payment or to help with medical bills, it is your choice.
Life Insurance:
Life insurance is a great way to plan for what Life sends our way. When the unfortunate happens, you want to help ease the financial needs of your loved ones left behind, whether it be simply paying for your funeral or helping to boost a college fund. Life Insurance through your employer should be considered as added protection to your financial portfolio. Having individual Life coverage means you never have to worry about not having Life Insurance approved if your medical health changes.
There are many types of Life insurance and those offered through the below links may not be what is best for your family. We recommend that you contact our office so that we can assist you in understanding your options.
The below links will provide you with estimated premiums for two types of protection:
- Instant Term provides quick death benefit protections with no medical or labs.
- Instant Term with Return of Premium has the same benefits plus a full return on all the premiums you’ve paid if you outlive the payment period.
Please note there are underwriting limitations regarding age, requested life volumes and overall medical health which may not allow you to obtain an estimated rate.
